Jeg kopierer inn kommentaren til en veterinær under en artikkel om samme sak på DogWorld:

"Beware! This is very sad if true, and my thoughts and sympathy are with the owners of this dog, but... this article is 100% speculation. If this did occur when the 'post mortem' said it did, there is absolutely no chance there would be any remains of 'cubes of meat' left in the stomach for the pathologist to find. It only takes the stomach about 4 hours to digest a meal. Also, in one sentence, they say they know there were 2 or 3 different poisons used, but in the very next sentence they say they are still waiting for the toxicology report. The chances of it being a poisoning is tiny compared to the hundreds of other possible causes of death, especially in a dog in a heightened stress situation - travel, mixing with hundreds of other dogs, being in an environment with a higher than normal risk of disease etc.
The comments on this article are all knee jerk reactions to a sensationalist headline with absolutely no proof at this time. Even if it was poisoning, it is extremely difficult to prove. As a veterinary surgeon myself, I know the toxicology / post mortem results will take days to weeks to come back with any answers."

Må si meg enig der. Ville vært forsiktig med å synse og rope ulv ulv inntil man vet noe mer.

"The Kennel Club's deepest sympathies go to Jagger's owners, who have received confirmation that Jagger tragically died from the ingestion of poisoned material, and we ask that their privacy is respected as they grieve for their beloved pet. There has been a lot of concern about whether the poisoning happened at Crufts and we are now able to reassure all dog lovers who came to Crufts that this could not have been possible and it is highly likely that the poisons, thought to be on a piece of beef, were eaten in Belgium, shortly before Jagger's death."

Så konklusjonen er at hunden døde av forgiftning, men det skjedde altså IKKE på Crufts.
